Es una de esas listas estúpidas que mezclan obviedad, lógica y subjetividad a raudales pero, no sé por qué, siempre las miramos. Esta me merecía respeto porque ha sido elaborada por periodistas, críticos y colaboradores de Gibson guitars, donde algo saben de guitarras y, por tanto, de solos. Pero... Es que faltan tantos y tan bellos solos. Yo tengo varias preguntas: ¿Por qué siempre tiene que estar de primera "Stairway to heaven"? Sin pecar de talibanismo metalero, ¿No merecen un sitio entre los 50 primeros Judas Priest, Iron Maiden o Dimebag Darrell? ¿Ritchie Blackmore tan abajo en la lista?
Es cierto que están casi todos los demás: Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Brian May (¿Y este es de los 50 mejores?), Vaughan, Markitos Knopfler, Blackmore, etc. Pero también lo es que estas cosas levantan ampollas y la dirección de la web de Gibson ha tenido que hacer un añadido ofreciendo explicaciones e integrando algunos solos más en la lista, profundizando en el error.
